One of the annual projects that Choice have been involved in is to translate feedback from new vehicle owners that are asked to complete a detailed survey into their likes, dislikes, problems and praises of their recent purchase. This information is fed back to the manufacturers marketing departments as well as design and development teams to assist with future models.
JD Power & Associates are one of, if not THE leaders in Automotive Market Research industry. They have been using Choice Languages for the past 7 years to handle all of its translation requirements for its European activites.

Case Study: Choice Languages Services task was to translate the surveys initially into the target markets. Then ensure that the responses to the studies that were conducted around the globe had accurate translations into English, so that the developers could 'pinpoint' any potential design faults and deal with them accordingly.
The data was transferred from a 'paper based' survey onto a 'spreadsheet style' format. This in itself was working fine, but the rate that the data took from receipt to final reporting, was taking too long to process.
We had been working with another market research client that uses a particular on-line database system that captures the results from surveys and allows the responses to be translated on-line and the client is able to view the feedback immediately.
"Many of our regular translators are trained in using this particular database and we could see the obvious benefits of this sytem to JD Power. So, we decided to put the two companies in touch and now we operate the same system for both clients!" Says Jenny Wilkinson - Project Manager at Choice.
