Frédérique has been a translator for Choice Languages for several years.

After studying for an HND in Business Management and a Master’s and PhD in Modern Languages, she spent a year in Canada before settling in the UK for over 20 years. After a long career as a sales manager for one of the world top ten pharmaceutical companies, she started working as a translator-interpreter specialising in business and medical documents. She worked for many years for a firm of solicitors in Oxford as an interpreter in medico-legal cases and has also compiled bilingual medical internet sites and translated published psychometric testing manuals used in psychiatric hospitals and the largest multinationals all over the world.

Frédérique is now back in her native Brittany near her home-town of St Malo, where she continues her activities as a translator.

Frédérique has extended her bilingualism to her passion for the nautical world by acting as an interpreter for big sailing events hosted by her home-town, like the  Tall Ships’ Race during the Summer of 2006. After many years of travelling the world from China to India, South America or the West Indies, she now limits her travelling distances to a few miles every day for her early morning jog….. just to tune body and mind.
